The original name of Shanghai A2 Highway was Hulu Expressway, starting from the A20 East Second Avenue Interchange in the north and ending at Donghai Bridge in the south, with a total length of 42.3 kilometers. The northern section was opened to traffic at the end of 2004, and the southern section was opened to traffic in December 2005. The entire line is equipped with A20 Ring East Second Avenue Interchange, Hunan Highway Interchange, Daye Highway Interchange, Xinsiping Highway Interchange, A30 Interchange, Nanlu Highway Interchange, and Lianggang Avenue Interchange.
